Final Project

I made several animations on an open-source software program called Pencil. It is a computer program based on traditional, hand drawn, frame-by frame, 2D animation, meant to be used in conjunction with a pen tablet. Unfortunately, I lost my pen for my pen tablet, so I had to use a mouse, making it very difficult.

The program was very useful, as it had an 'onion paper' option that let you see transparent versions of the previous and/or next frame. You could view both at the same time, only one, or none at all. This made smoothing out animations much easier, and was a feature I really appreciated.

Because I had to finish these at home, I added sound through iMovie, using sound clips from iLife and Garageband.

These are the animations. Combined, they make a total of 29 seconds each, at 12-18 frames per second, depending on the video.

Love is Pain! (5 seconds)
